About this solution
The banner remains the fastest way to say something large. It is made in a few simple steps, costs little for the area it covers, and can be changed at any time — which makes it right for campaigns, openings, seasonal promotions, and for the stretch while a permanent sign is still being made.
The material follows where it goes. PVC banner is the outdoor standard: tough, opaque, suited to frames and boards. Mesh is perforated and lets wind through, which makes it the only sensible option for large exposed areas — scaffolding, facades, building wraps. Textile is used where appearance matters: indoors, on stands, as photographed backdrops.
The finishing decides how long it lasts. Welded hems and metal eyelets at regular intervals stop tearing at the fixing points, which is how almost every banner fails. On large spans, intermediate ties are provided so the wind cannot work the whole surface through a single fixing.
A building wrap — the banner covering an entire facade — is a category of its own: it needs a fixing structure, wind calculation and usually a permit. It is made from several welded panels or a single mesh, depending on the size and on what the building allows.
Frequently asked questions
All frequently asked questionsPVC banner or mesh?
PVC for small and medium areas, in a frame or on a board, where solid colour and opacity are wanted. Mesh for large exposed areas, where wind becomes the main problem: the perforations let it through and greatly reduce the force carried into the fixings and the structure.
How much does an advertising banner cost?
A banner is the cheapest way to cover a large area, and the price is per square metre: the material — PVC, mesh or textile — plus the finishing, meaning the welded hem and the eyelets. Installation can easily exceed the cost of the banner itself: at ground level it is simple, on a facade or scaffolding it means working at height. A building wrap is costed differently, because it includes the fixing structure and the wind calculation. Tell us the size and where it goes.
