FAQ

Frequently askedquestions.

What clients ask before they order — briefly, solution by solution.

01

General

Do you work outside Chișinău?

Yes. We design and build in Chișinău, in our own workshop, and install across Moldova.

How do I ask for a quote, and what should I tell you?

Write to us through the form on the site, by email, or call. Tell us what you want made, the approximate size and where it will go — a photograph of the place helps a great deal. We come back with a quote made for your project.

Do I need to bring a finished design?

No. If you already have a logo or a design, we work from it. If not, we develop the concept ourselves: mock-ups and 3D visualisations, the choice of materials, and the final solution agreed with you.

Do you handle installation and maintenance?

Yes. Installation is done by our own team, on site. After handover we provide service in and out of warranty, repairs, maintenance and refreshing of the structures.

Facade signs

See the solution
What is an advertising fascia?

It is the continuous panel fixed to the facade, usually above the shopfront, that acts as the background for the sign. Most often made from composite aluminium. Its job is to give a flat, uniform surface, hide cabling and wall irregularities, and mark out the sign's space clearly.

Can a sign be fixed to an insulated facade?

Yes, but the fixing does not go into the insulation: it anchors into the structure behind it, with elements passing through the insulating layer, and the penetrations are sealed. Knowing what is under the finish in advance is essential, because the whole fixing system depends on it.

How much does a facade sign cost?

A facade sign is usually two things in one price: the fascia — the composite aluminium panel, costed per square metre — and what sits on it, letters or a box, costed separately. Added to that are the state of the wall, because an insulated or uneven facade needs a fixing structure a concrete one does not, and the working height. Send us a photograph of the facade with its approximate width and we will say what it involves.

03

Illuminated 3D letters

See the solution
Which type of illumination should I choose?

Front-lit if the sign has to be read from a distance or from the road — it is the most legible. Halo if you want a restrained look and the facade material deserves to be seen. Side-lit or open-face for accents and a more graphic character. It comes down to the distance the sign is read from and how bright the surroundings are.

What are 3D letters made from?

Most often acrylic, PVC and composite aluminium, with a diffusing acrylic face where the letter is lit. Non-illuminated letters are also made in stainless steel, brass or wood. The material follows the size, the setting — outdoors or indoors — and the look you are after.

Do I need a permit for an illuminated sign?

Outdoor advertising placement is generally regulated, and the requirements depend on the locality, the building and the zone — a building in the historic centre is treated differently from one in a retail district. It is worth settling before design, because the rules affect both size and fixing. Tell us where the sign will go and we will say what that means in your case.

How much do illuminated 3D letters cost?

The price is worked out per letter rather than per sign, and turns on four things: the letter height, the body material, the type of illumination — front, halo or combined — and the mounting height, which decides whether a lift is needed. The same words at two metres, unlit, cost a fraction of what they cost at twelve metres, illuminated. Send us the text, the approximate letter height and where the sign will go, and we will come back with a quote.

Lightboxes

See the solution
Acrylic or banner for the face?

Acrylic for small and medium boxes, where every detail shows and a clean finish is wanted. Tensioned banner for large areas, where acrylic would become heavy and expensive, and where the graphics change from time to time. Banner is easier to replace; acrylic looks better close up.

Can a lightbox follow the shape of a logo?

Yes. The body is CNC-routed to the outline and the face is cut to the same shape. A shaped box costs more than a rectangular one because there are more operations, but it looks like the company's mark rather than a box with the mark on it.

How often do the LEDs need replacing?

Outdoor LED modules last a long time, but what usually fails first is not the LED — it is the driver, or a joint that let water in. Which is why how the box was built, and how easily you can get inside it, matters more. A box designed for access gets serviced; a sealed one gets replaced.

How much does a lightbox cost?

The price starts from the area and three choices: the face — acrylic or tensioned banner — the shape, rectangular or cut to the outline of the logo, and whether it reads from one side or two. Mounting matters too: flat to the facade is simpler than on brackets or on a post of its own. A shaped box takes more operations than a rectangular one of the same size. Tell us the size and where it goes, and we will work it out.

05

Textile boxes

See the solution
How quickly can the graphic be changed?

In minutes, by your own staff, without tools. The fabric is drawn out of the profile channel along one edge and the new one fed in. The box stays on the wall; only the print changes.

Can textile lightboxes be used outdoors?

Yes, with materials and frames chosen for it. What differs is the fabric — it has to withstand damp and ultraviolet — and the sealing of the frame. A textile box meant for indoors, mounted outside, gets dirty and goes slack.

How much does a textile lightbox cost?

It is costed per square metre, and the biggest difference is whether it is lit — lighting brings the LED modules, the drivers and a deeper frame. Then whether it reads from one side or two, and whether it sits indoors or out, because the fabric and the sealing differ. Extra fabrics, for changing the campaign, cost only the printing: the frame stays. Tell us the size and where it goes.

06

LED screens

See the solution
Which pitch (P2, P3, P4) do I need?

It depends on the distance the screen is viewed from. For a screen inside a branch, seen from a few metres, a fine pitch is worth it. For a facade read from the opposite pavement or from traffic, a coarser pitch looks just as good and costs considerably less. Tell us where the screen sits and where it will be seen from, and we will say what pitch is reasonable.

Can you make a currency rate board only?

Yes. Currency rate boards are a distinct type of screen, usually numerals across a few rows, updated from a computer or directly from the bank's system. They are simpler and cheaper than a full video screen, because they show text and figures rather than moving image.

How much does an LED screen cost?

Pitch decides almost everything: a P2 and a P4 of the same area sit in different price brackets, because one has four times the pixels. Then the area, then whether the screen is outdoors — higher brightness, protection against water and dust, heat dissipation — and the structure it fixes to. Commissioning is costed separately. Tell us the size you want and the distance it will be viewed from, and we will propose a sensible pitch before any price.

07

Rooftop signs

See the solution
What is checked before a rooftop sign is installed?

The building's structure and how the frame can be anchored, wind loading at that height, the power route, and access for installation and maintenance. Just as important is what lies under the roof: the fixing must not pierce the waterproofing without a sealing solution.

How much does a rooftop sign cost?

Here the structure often costs as much as the letters. The price is made of three parts: the steel frame, calculated for wind loading at that height, the letters — measured in metres, so a different cost per piece than shopfront ones — and access, because at height installation needs a crane or a lift and days of work rather than hours. Tell us the building, the height and the text, and we do the structural check first and the quote after.

08

Banners and building wraps

See the solution
PVC banner or mesh?

PVC for small and medium areas, in a frame or on a board, where solid colour and opacity are wanted. Mesh for large exposed areas, where wind becomes the main problem: the perforations let it through and greatly reduce the force carried into the fixings and the structure.

How much does an advertising banner cost?

A banner is the cheapest way to cover a large area, and the price is per square metre: the material — PVC, mesh or textile — plus the finishing, meaning the welded hem and the eyelets. Installation can easily exceed the cost of the banner itself: at ground level it is simple, on a facade or scaffolding it means working at height. A building wrap is costed differently, because it includes the fixing structure and the wind calculation. Tell us the size and where it goes.

09

Vehicle branding

See the solution
Does the film damage the vehicle's paint?

No, provided the paint is factory-applied and sound, the film is one intended for bodywork, and it is removed properly with heat. Problems arise on resprayed or already damaged paint, where the layer can lift with the film. Paint under film is usually better preserved than paint left exposed.

Can only part of the vehicle be branded?

Yes, and it is often the sensible choice. The sides and the tailgate are the surfaces most seen in traffic and parked. Well-placed partial branding can work as well as a full wrap at a fraction of the cost.

How much does branding a vehicle cost?

The gap between cut-vinyl lettering — logo, phone number, a few elements — and a full wrap is several times over, so the first question is how much of the bodywork is covered. Then the shape of the vehicle matters: a van with flat sides is much quicker than a car with compound curves, rivets and seams. For fleets the price per vehicle falls with the number, because the artwork is done once. Tell us the model and what you want covered.

10

Interior logos

See the solution
Lit or unlit for a reception?

It depends on the light in the room. In a well-lit space, an unlit logo on standoffs, with its shadow, looks clean and expensive. Lighting earns its place where the wall is dark, where the logo has to read down a corridor, or when a particular effect in photographs is wanted.

Can an exact brand colour be matched?

Yes — the pieces are spray-finished and the colour can be matched to a reference. Worth knowing that the same colour reads differently matt versus gloss, and under warm versus cool light, so the finish is chosen together with the colour rather than after it.

How much does a reception logo cost?

The price starts from the overall width of the composition and the material: acrylic and MDF are the starting point, solid wood and metal sit above. Spray-finishing to a specific colour adds to it, as does lighting if you want it — indoors it is optional and often unnecessary. Mounting on standoffs costs a little more than bonding flat, and almost always looks better. Send us the logo and the width of the wall.

11

Neon signs

See the solution
Is it real neon or LED?

Flexible LED neon. It looks like classic neon — the same continuous line of light — but runs at low voltage, uses far less power, does not get hot and does not break. For a public space where people pass close by, that is the difference that matters.

Can it follow handwriting or a logo?

Yes, provided the line has enough weight. Thin handwriting or a high-contrast typeface cannot be reproduced below a certain size, because the neon profile has a minimum thickness. The drawing is usually adjusted a little — the line thickened, fine detail simplified — and the result stays recognisable.

How much does a neon sign cost?

It is costed per linear metre of neon rather than by the area of the sign — which means a thin, long piece of lettering can cost more than a short, thick one even though it takes up the same space on the wall. The number of colours matters too, because each is a separate run, as does the backing: clear acrylic or cut to the outline. Send us the drawing or the text and the width you want, and we will measure the line.
