About this solution

An LED screen is the only kind of advertising that changes without being remade. Once installed, the content is replaced from a computer: one campaign in the morning, another in the evening, the exchange rate in between. For a bank branch or a shop, that turns the facade into a space for communication rather than a fixed board.

The most important technical decision is pitch — the distance between pixels, written P2, P3, P4 and so on. A fine pitch gives a finer image but costs more, and only earns its keep if the viewer stands close; a screen read from across the road does not need it. The rule of thumb: the greater the minimum viewing distance, the coarser the pitch can be.

Outdoors, brightness matters too, because the screen has to stay legible in direct sun, as does protection against water and dust. An outdoor screen needs heat dissipation and an ambient light sensor, so it does not run at daytime brightness after dark — which makes it painful to look at and wastes power.

Installation means a supporting structure calculated for the weight of the screen and for wind, a separate supply, and service access from the front or the back depending on where there is room. Commissioning includes configuration and handing over how content is loaded.

Frequently asked questions

All frequently asked questions
Which pitch (P2, P3, P4) do I need?

It depends on the distance the screen is viewed from. For a screen inside a branch, seen from a few metres, a fine pitch is worth it. For a facade read from the opposite pavement or from traffic, a coarser pitch looks just as good and costs considerably less. Tell us where the screen sits and where it will be seen from, and we will say what pitch is reasonable.

Can you make a currency rate board only?

Yes. Currency rate boards are a distinct type of screen, usually numerals across a few rows, updated from a computer or directly from the bank's system. They are simpler and cheaper than a full video screen, because they show text and figures rather than moving image.

How much does an LED screen cost?

Pitch decides almost everything: a P2 and a P4 of the same area sit in different price brackets, because one has four times the pixels. Then the area, then whether the screen is outdoors — higher brightness, protection against water and dust, heat dissipation — and the structure it fixes to. Commissioning is costed separately. Tell us the size you want and the distance it will be viewed from, and we will propose a sensible pitch before any price.
